Installation Process Explained
Electric Home Car or EV (Electric Vehicle) Charger Installation step by step guide
Step 1. Choose an EV charger from our main page.
Step 2. Fill out our EV Charger Installation Survey (we will do a quick desktop Survey and/or a Free Site Visit for more complex installations if necessary).
Step 3. We will process your Survey and our NAPIT Registered Electrician will prepare an Installation Plan and quotation for you, based on your individual needs and requirements. (You can always contact us over the phone and speak with someone from the Top EV Charger Team before filling out the Survey.)
Step 4. You will receive your detailed EV Charge Point Installation Plan and Quotation.
Step 5. Book a date for your Car Charger Installation with us.
Step 6. We will send you the Electrical Installation Certificate, Local Authority Notifiable Work Certificate and the DNO (Distribution Network Provider) approval letter to cover Manufacturer's Warranty and Home Insurance.

The cost to install a Home EV Charge Point (EVCP) can vary, depending on your current electrical infrastructure and the proposed location of the charging point. We can guarantee good value for money. No hidden fees, our prices are very competitive and our Quotation process is very simple and quick. We always go the extra mile for our customers and are happy to provide more than one Installation Plan and offer different options for our clients to compare Installations with different brands/ types of chargers and different options.

What is the Standard Installation?
10 metre (32ft) distance between Fuse Box (Consumer Unit) and the desired EV Charge Point Location
Clear and easy access between the two connection points
Must have adequate and well maintained Consumer Unit/Fuse box with at least one spare way.
Extra Additional Work Required:
Ground work, Surface chasing
Consumer Unit/Fuse Box is older than 10 years (has not been maintained)
Consumer Unit/Fuse Box location is over arm's reach and difficult to access
No Isolator Switch or Connector Block installed
Over 10 metres (32ft) between Fuse box and the desired EV Charger location
